What you're sharing

• Per-game daily view, download and browser-play counts for the window shown above.
• A 30-day snapshot of which sites and itch.io pages referred visits to you.
• Your games' titles and itch.io numeric IDs.

What is never collected

• Payment or buyer data of any kind — no emails, no buy locations, no revenue figures.
• Your itch.io login, password, or API key. This page never asks you to sign in to anything.
• The saved file itself. It is read in your browser; only the parsed numbers above are sent.

This is not anonymous. Your contributor ID is random and is not your itch.io identity, but your submission includes your games' titles and IDs — which are public and point back to you. Please don't submit if you need this to be untraceable.

How it's used. To calibrate itch-trends' estimates of how store rank relates to real traffic, and to build aggregate benchmarks (e.g. "typical views for a game with 2 ratings").

What gets published. Aggregate figures only, combined across contributors. Your individual per-game numbers are never published, sold, or shared with third parties.

Keep your contributor ID private. It isn't just a reference number — it's the key to your submission. Anyone who has it can add data to your rows or ask for them to be deleted. Save it somewhere only you can see.

Changing your mind. Your data is kept until you ask for it to be removed. Save your contributor ID (shown above) — it's the only way to identify your submission afterwards. Removing it takes your rows out of the database and out of every aggregate computed from then on; figures already published may still reflect your contribution.
